Solid-state microfrabricated devices are in development to replace contemporary heavy mechanical components for use in spacecraft propellant management.

The Gravity Loading Countermeasure Skinsuit (or “Skinsuit”) is an intravehicular activity suit for astronauts that has been developed to simulate the loading effects of Earth's gravity. The potential sensorimotor benefits of the Skinsuit will be investigated in this project.

A proof of concept demonstration for a voxel-based reconfigurable space structure based on electromagnetically actuated picosatellites. Individual modules are embedded with a collection of electromagnets used to reconfigure each with respect to the other via pivoting.

Fluid Expressions explores the creation of fluid-based art and media in microgravity. How can the unique properties of fluids in microgravity can be used to create novel artistic tools and media?
